Since September, customers can purchase not only Nespresso machines via bol, but also the coffee itself. Previously, this was limited to the brand’s own channels. “That felt incomplete,” explains Marie-Laure Raadsen, Brand Marketing Manager at Nespresso. “Our coffee is specifically developed for our machines. To complete the experience, we want to give customers the option to purchase both together. That is now possible at bol.”

Why does Nespresso choose to work with bol?
“For us, the partnership with bol is a logical extension of our distribution strategy. We remain true to our direct-to-consumer model, where we keep the entire customer journey in our own hands. But we noticed that many customers bought our machines via bol, while the coffee itself was not available. To guarantee the full premium experience, we want to give consumers the option to buy both the machine and the coffee in one place.”

What makes bol such an interesting partner?
“Bol is one of the most trusted online retail platforms in the Netherlands and Belgium. Through bol we reach a broad audience that values quality and convenience. On top of that, we can rely on their dependable logistics and service, ensuring that customers enjoy the same premium experience as through our own channels.”

How does Nespresso bring its brand experience to life on bol?
“The brand pages and shop-in-shop options are very valuable to us. They allow us not only to offer our products, but also to share context about our sustainability efforts, the different coffee varieties and the origins of our beans. It is important to us that the brand identity remains consistent and inspiring online.”

What results do you expect from this partnership?
“Above all, we want to reach a new audience: the digital shopper who expects convenience and speed. Think of people who shop via the bol app and just as easily add a box of Nespresso capsules to their order. With bol we reach that audience and at the same time maintain the quality of the experience we want to deliver.”
