How we take responsibility
At bol, we believe that good governance starts with transparency and integrity. That’s why we provide insight into how we take responsibility for our decisions, impact and business operations. On this page, you’ll find our key governance information, including our Impact Report, material topics, policy documents and the independent Speak Up Line for reporting concerns or misconduct.

Impact Report
We are aware of the impact we have on the planet and society. Guided by our purpose: ”continuously improving our platform for a better tomorrow for us all” we therefore take responsibility by consistently making conscious choices that contribute to inclusivity and equal opportunities.
Every day, we aim to do a little better. B Corp supports us in this journey. For us, it serves as a clear compass, providing insight into our impact, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Not because we are perfect, but because we value transparency and continuous learning.

Double Materiality Asessment
A double materiality assessment is a systematic analysis used to determine which sustainability topics are material, in other words, truly significant, for an organisation. In 2023, we conducted a DMA, which resulted in 15 key topics (outlined in our Impact Report on pages 73–74).
At the beginning of 2026, we carried out an interim DMA. This led to changes in three areas:
From 'air pollution to pollution
This now includes not only air pollution, but also pollution of soil, water and ecosystems.
From 'sustainable consumption' to 'circular economy'
With a stronger focus on the environmental aspects of circular business models.
'Working conditions' and 'human rights'
Now also apply to suppliers, in line with the requirements of the CS3D.
These changes ensure that our material topics remain aligned with current laws and regulations, as well as the key sustainability issues within our value chain.
Material topics & B Corp
Some of our material topics are not covered by the B Corp standards. Below, you can download an overview of these topics, including the goals we have set and the actions we are taking in relation to them.

Policies
We strive to be fully transparent about our activities, choices, and impact. Transparency is not only important to us as an organization, but also a key principle within the B Corp philosophy. That is why we have developed a number of policies that support this ambition and help us demonstrate our responsibility clearly and honestly
Human Rights policy
In this policy, we outline how bol respects human rights. We follow the standards of Ahold Delhaize and take responsibility for our impact on employees, partners, and everyone affected by our activities
Responsible lobbying policy
We adhere to the internal policy of our parent organization, Ahold Delhaize, when engaging in advocacy and interacting with political stakeholders. There is a clear internal working instruction in place that defines roles and responsibilities to ensure compliance with this policy. This policy can be downloaded below
Bol lobbying positions
We prepare an annual overview of our lobbying positions and political contributions for the previous year, covering the topics that are material to us. The overview for 2025 can be accessed here and downloaded below.
Speak Up Line
The Speak Up Line is a confidential and independent reporting channel that enables employees, partners, or other stakeholders to raise concerns about possible misconduct or violations of our values and code of conduct. The line is available 24/7, supports multiple languages, and offers the option to report anonymously. This channel is not intended for inquiries about orders placed with bol. Customer service is available day and night.
All reports are handled with care and in strict confidence. Only relevant specialists have access to the information, and bol does not tolerate any form of retaliation against individuals who report concerns in good faith. The Speak Up Line helps us remain an ethical and transparent organization, where everyone feels safe to speak up about wrongdoing.
