As of 1 September, Maite Zubiaurre takes on the role of CEO of bol. She succeeds Margaret Versteden – van Duijn, who has led the online retail platform over the past years. With almost a decade of experience at bol, Zubiaurre has held roles spanning strategy, business development, marketing, product and technology. 

With her appointment, bol also announces a strengthening of its leadership team. Ronald van Rijn will join the board as Chief Technology & Data Officer.

Zubiaurre takes over at a time when online retail is rapidly evolving. “For bol the task is clear: we don’t just want to keep up, we want to continue to lead. That means choosing innovations that deliver real value for our consumers and partners.
